Netgear DG834GT upgrade

Hi

Ive read in depth about hoe to flash generic firmweare onto my DG834GT Router.

However when i lauch the netgear upgrade software, i select my realtek adaptor which the router is connected to BUT no router appears on the following screen?

Its just blank??

Any Ideas?

YES read this

you need to stick a pin in ya reset at back off router power off then back on again "Power and Check LED’s blink in an alternating pattern" then remove the pin and follow instructions in the attched pdf
