Writing to NAS via Sagem Router

I've got a strange problem that I would be very grateful if someone could help solve.
When I rip tracks wirelessly using my laptop to my NAs drive connected o my router via a powerline, the actual ripping is fine, until it comes to add the artwork. Once this step begins, everything grinds to a halt. Monitoring the netwrok traffic, there is virtually nothing being sent from my laptop, aprt from the odd burst of data, but still only about 3-4KB/s.
If I connect to the router via a cable, everything is fine and quick.

I upgraded to Vista SP1 and had to rollback as the wireless connection bitrate was all over the place and often dropped to 0KB/s andnever went above 200KB/s
The Router and laptop are in the same room and signal strength is excellent.

Move to Asking For Help forum.

Hmmm... Interesting.. I don't know the answer, but I've seem similar things as this when the sending system is expecting confirmation of some event or other and it never gets it. I'd probably put a sniffer trace on the laptop and compare the LAN from the wireless activity and see what the difference is. Also, it is a total shot-in-the-dark but I'd see what happens if you disable TCP autotuning in Vista.

Re: Writing to NAS via Sagem Router

Chnage the wireless channel in router from auto to something fixed.
Used to do this with me, after a few mins the wireless connection would just
die, particular under heavy load.
