Hello just a quick one, hasn't started to really annoy me yet but maybe you guys can answer this one.

I've started to notice that i get disconnected on an almost daily basis maybe for 1-2secs, my router stats are as follows:-

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 16379 kbps 765 kbps
Line Attenuation 11 db 2.5 db
Noise Margin 8 db 14 db

Cheers in advance

Re: Quick Query

do the disconnects happen at the same time ?
are they wireless disconnects or router to exchange ?
where do youplug your router in (extention socket / master socket / test socket)

Re: Quick Query

cheers for coming back so tome on this, i connect to the master socket which i've added the adslnation xte faceplate from there i run a 2m high density rj11 cable to the router in the spare room, out of that comes a pc (wired connection), Xbox 360 (wired connection) Wii (wireless connection) & laptop (wireless connection). In terms of same time of the disconnects it seems to be 4pm and about 10pm daily only for a brief moment, is it possible its a reasignment of the IP address? And finally in terms of "wireless disconnects or router to exchange" i'm fairly tech savy but i could tell you on that one sorry.

Re: Quick Query

try using the Sky supplied dsl cable and see if things improve...

regarding the other point, when the connection drops out does the internet light on the router stay green? if so, it's just the PC losing connection with the router, not the router losing connection...

Re: Quick Query

Supplied one does the same thing, hence the new one as that was my first thought. now the light turns amber (lost sync) if only for 2-3 secs.

Cheers
