please help.... lost my sky password :(

agh!! what an evening!.

i flashed my sky netgear router so i could get my password off it. i was having all sorts of issues with it, with password in hand i proceeded to use my old router DSL-G624T and as i had no use for the netgear one i lent it to a mate with the proviso i got it back should the need arise, hgowever its not got his own details in it. that was 6 months ago

the thing is, i now need my sky username and password and i dont know what to do as i have mislaid where i wrote it down, and i cant figure out a way to get my Dlink DSL-G624T to surrender the password (its bockedo out).

is there anything i can do?

go there and find your netgear model then read the instruction if you lost your password!...maybe that would help...

have written on my router with a marker pen so will not get lost again.

thanks for the reply, however netgear wouldnt be able to help me with my password encrypted on a DLink router

Ah well, panic over. But if you hadn't found it, the solution would have been to flash the Sky router back to the original Sky firmware (using the Netgear Recovery Utility that you used to reflash the Sky router before) and then with the Sky firmware back on the router, you can do a "reset to factory defaults" and the Sky connection username and password would be put back. You can then use the Mognuts utility page to extract the username and password - which, of course, you could have done in the first place before you reflashed the Sky router!
